1. Cheap Chinese plastic. Fragile. One fell out of the holder and broke. Base is really tricky to screw on without crossthreading. You have to be very careful. Another one didn't work at all from the start - a total dud!2. They didn't quite fit in the seven-branch Menorah I bought for them. That by itself isn't the fault of the candles, but they don't really fit in the holders supplied either. The base is just a little too big around to fit properly. They sort of fit, but don't seat all the way down and end up leaning over a little. So I have 8 out of 9 that work, one broken that I can probably glue together again, and the rest I'll have to modify for my intended purpose.3. I can't tell the difference between the fast and slow settings and the dimmer has almost no effect on any of the flicker modes. This isn't a big issue, it just isn't a feature worth bragging about. It really has only three modes: full on, dim on, and flicker. The flicker is realistic enuf from normal viewing distance. As far as I know the timers work. The remote works at a reasonable distance and is somewhat directional so you can control groupings separately if they are far apart.4. Now 7 of 9 working. One of them keeps turning on by itself every few hours. I walk by and notice it is on again when I just turned it off an hour ago. Of course, that will soon run the batteries down.We use the remote for turning the candles on/off. Batteries last MUCH longer! When you have 9 candles (3 AAA batteries in each), that’s a lot of $$.Not pleased with the quality of the suction cups.So far, I've had these a couple of weeks, and I'm not disappointed.The suction cups work great (as long as you wet them well before sticking. I used a spray bottle) and they haven't fallen off, even with the fluctuated weather. Haven't replaced any batteries yet, and love the timer function. The bulb is not as white as I thought, but it's very natural.For several winter seasons I've looked for good candles for the windows with no luck. I found these and will admit to being skeptical of them being everything advertised. If you're thinking of these candles, you'll NOT be disappointed!! They perform exactly as described. Best money I've spent on holiday decor!!These do the job. I like the flickering function and you can go brighter if you want. I have not used the timer but I must’ve set it accidentally, because the lights in the garage go off by themselves!These are not real sturdy- I brushed one with a sleeve, it fell - and is broken.They are easy to take apart and refill batteries, should that need arise.Woukd I buy them again? Probably.Bought these for Christmas decor & loved them. They added so much charm to our home. Remote, timer, and candle all worked great.This is awesome! The timer guarantees that the lights go on at the same time of the day every day and turn off as desired. Remote makes it easy to set and turn off all lights at once.I have these in my front windows for Christmas. The timer is perfect and they come on and go off by themselves at the same time every night the remote works great and they’re easy to assemble.
